Open Call for VAN Dallas Artists - DEADLINE: JANUARY 30, 2026

This year, AURORA is expanding Video Art Night (VAN) with an exciting new chapter⁠—the first-ever VAN in Denton—which will be presented in addition to the fifth edition of VAN in Downtown Dallas.

Coming to Denton on March 6, from 7-10 pm, VAN will take over Quakertown Park for an immersive exhibition of video artworks projected across the outdoor public space. Additionally, visitors are invited to enjoy live music by The Dead Thing, performing throughout the night, along with food and beverages available for purchase.

VAN returns to Dallas on April 17, from 7-10 pm, in celebration of Dallas Arts Month. It will once again transform the AT&T Discovery District⁠—including the 104-foot Discovery District Media Wall—into an open-air exhibition in the heart of downtown Dallas that is free and open to all.

Artists for this year’s Dallas edition on April 17 will be chosen by the Selection Committee: Christina J. Hahn (Multidisciplinary Artist, Founder of the Dallas Asian American Art Collective), Shalissa Perry (Chief Marketing Officer at Downtown Dallas, Inc.), and Thomas Feulmer (Curator at The Warehouse, Dallas). Video Art Night is an annual exhibition of video artworks presented in unexpected public spaces in North Texas. The showcase spotlights innovative regional and national talent while transforming outdoor urban locations—from public parks North Texas to the 104-foot Discovery District Media Wall in downtown Dallas—into open-air exhibitions that are free and open to all.

Presented by AURORA, this one-of-a-kind art experience, accompanied by live music, culinary offerings, and more, expands access to art and technology while bringing diverse communities together.
