Aurora Biennial
COMING: November 1-21, 2026
LOCATIONS: Dallas City Hall, J. Erik Jonsson Central Library, AT&T Discovery District & MULTIPLE SITES across Dallas
The AURORA Biennial returns in 2026 with its most ambitious edition yet—transforming Dallas with a three-week, citywide presentation of digital and media art. For the first time, the program will extend from November 1-20, activating the city with exhibitions, talks, and performances leading up to the free, large-scale outdoor exhibition on November 21 across Dallas City Hall, J. Erik Jonsson Central Library, and the AT&T Discovery District. The Biennial’s expansion underscores its growing impact and its role as a catalyst for collaboration among Dallas’s cultural organizations.
The seventh edition of the AURORA Biennial will be led by two internationally recognized curators—Julia Kaganskiy and Tairone Bastien—whose visionary work continues to shape the global contemporary art landscape. Kaganskiy and Bastien will work with regional, national, and international artists to realize an expansive, city-wide, public art event.

The largest free event of its kind in North America, the AURORA Biennial is our signature exhibition of technology-driven public art and has been central to our arts organization over the last decade. Aligning with our mission, the biennial aims to inspire a more accessible future of art and technology by supporting the voices of today’s artists and connecting diverse communities through transformative public art experiences.
Presented across an expansive urban footprint and centered on the iconic I.M. Pei-designed Dallas City Hall, each edition brings together dozens of leading regional and international artists to realize a one-of-a-kind public art event. This unique convergence of art, architecture, and technology continues to give prominence to Dallas’ standing as an international contemporary art destination.
Since its foundation, the AURORA Biennial exhibitions have commissioned and presented over 300 regional and international artists and attracted more than 207,000 visitors to experience a free cultural event like no other. Continuing to expand its impact as well as our collective ideas of the future, AURORA aims to be a global cultural center for art and technology, generating meaningful, creative exchanges between artists and the public.
Each biennial showcases a diverse line-up of contemporary artists selected by esteemed national and international curators who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in institution-level public art and international exhibitions.
