Diana Rojas:
What the Air Carries
What the Air Carries (2026) reflects on the ways technology, spirituality, and perception intersect. The sculpture gathers low frequencies from the city and transforms them into meditative soundscapes. Projected light from above moves with the audio, creating rhythmic fields of shadow and light around the work, shaped by real-time data received by the antenna. The projected image, forming a ring around the piece, acts as a poetic threshold. The pairing of scientific instrumentation with a spiritual environment and experience reflects humanity’s attempts to engage with what is immense, hidden, or beyond perception.
