This workshop will focus on multiple modes for object and texture scanning using mobile phones, photography, and structured-light scanning with an Artec Leo 3D scanner.
Participants will be introduced to basic and advanced techniques for capturing three-dimensional objects, as well as methods for using the models in a variety of free visualization software, such as Unreal Engine and Blender.
During the workshop, participants will get hands-on experience using Scaniverse, a free mobile app that lets users capture, edit, and share 3D content from their smartphones. If possible, we recommend downloading the app ahead of time.
Limited to 12 participants. Open to ages 16 and up.
This free workshop is part of Art Quest, AURORA’s annual summer program designed to expand access to art & technology programming across Dallas neighborhoods.

Este taller se enfocará en diferentes métodos de escaneo de objetos y texturas utilizando teléfonos móviles, fotografía y escaneo de luz estructurada con un escáner 3D Artec Leo.
Las y los participantes aprenderán técnicas básicas y avanzadas para capturar objetos tridimensionales, además de conocer distintas formas de utilizar los modelos en programas gratuitos de visualización como Unreal Engine o Blender.
Durante el taller, tendrás experiencia práctica utilizando Scaniverse, una aplicación móvil gratuita que permite a las y los usuarios capturar, editar y compartir contenido 3D desde sus teléfonos inteligentes. Si puedes, te recomendamos descargar la aplicación con anticipación.
Cupo limitado a 12 participantes. Abierto para personas de 16 años en adelante.
